USCGC Escanaba Returns to Boston After Pacific Drug Patrol

Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba “The Pride of Boston” returned to their homeport in Boston Thursday following a 64-day Eastern Pacific patrol that resulted in the seizure of 6.7 tons of cocaine worth an estimated $202 million in wholesale value. The 6.7 tons of cocaine offloaded represents the interdiction of five separate suspected drug smuggling vessels, including a rare self propelled semi-submersible vessel (SPSS).
