Melbourne visits Sasebo

HMAS Melbourne recently visited Sasebo as the first of three port visits across Japan as part of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour deployment. The visit was primarily for resupply and crew respite, so the crew made the most of the opportunity taking time out to see the sights. Some members of the crew also travelled to the historical city of Nagasaki, infamous for the atomic bomb attack at 11:02am on 9 August 1945.
