January 7, 2019 – The Military Sealift Command (MSC) charter ship MV Ocean Giant is en route to Antarctica after recent cargo operations in Port Hueneme in support of the annual Operation Deep Freeze (ODF) resupply mission. MSC chartered ship MT Maersk Peary competed its offload of nearly 6 million gallons of diesel and jet fuel at the McMurdo Station ice-pier yesterday, departing after nearly a week of around-the-clock operations.
