HMAS Warramunga Middle East Completes Mission

Minister for Defence, the Hon Marise Payne, today announced HMAS Warramunga is returning to Australia after a highly successful Royal Australian Navy (RAN) deployment to the Middle East Region. 21 Pacific Patrol Boats to be built in WA

Australia will gift Timor-Leste two new patrol boats following the finalization of the shipbuilding arrangements. The new arrangements follow the agreement between Prime Minister Turnbull and Prime Minister Alkatiri in November 2017 for the provision of these two new boats to Timor-Leste. HMAS Newcastle Completes Last RAN FFG Middle East Deployment

HMAS Newcastle returned to her home port of Fleet Base East, Garden Island, Sydney, today following a six month deployment to the Middle East region.
