September 26, 2018 – In the series of meetings of IONS Working Group (IWG) on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), the 3rd meeting is scheduled at Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, Vishakhapatnam from 27 to 28 September 2018. IONS, the 21st century’s first significant international maritime security initiative launched in February 2008, provides a forum for discussion of regional maritime issues and promotes friendly relationships among member nations. The small artillery ship Makhachkala is preparing to sail off for her mission. During the cruise, the ship will call at ports of Iran with a friendly visit. The ship crew will ensure security for maritime economic activity of the Russian Federation in the Caspian Sea. During the 30-day cruise, the Russian seamen will pay a friendly visit to the port of Iran in order to improve and strengthen international cooperation. Chinese ocean-going naval task group ends visits to 20 countries

A Chinese naval task group on an ocean-going visit mission came back to a naval port in Zhoushan City , Zhejiang Province of East China, on Oct 15, after completing its mission of visiting 20 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.
