November 1, 2018 – Elbit Systems announced today that it was awarded a framework contract to provide maritime Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) patrol services to be provided by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to countries in the European Union. USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) and components of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) arrived in Haifa, Israel, March 14, to conduct a port visit after participating in the previously scheduled exercise Juniper Cobra 2018 (JC18).
