New Swedish Submarines Named

January 15, 2019 – It will be Skåne and Blekinge who will name the two new submarines that FMV will deliver to the Swedish Navy 2024 and 2025. Providing submarines names by coastal landscape is a tradition where the names are proposed by the Navy and approved by the king, in the form of a so-called appreciation. Saab Provides Swedish Navy With Additional Trackfire RWS Systems

Saab has received an additional order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) regarding Trackfire Remote Weapon Station (RWS) for the Royal Swedish Navy. Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, to provide Multi Tactical Data Links to the Swedish Navy. The total order value is SEK 148 million. The Finnish Defence Forces’ Logistics Command received a mandate, on 19.12.2017, from Defence Minister Jussi Niinistö to sign contracts on the upgrade of the Hamina-class fast attack missile crafts (FAC). Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) and will deliver Trackfire Remote Weapon Stations (RWS) to the Swedish Navy. March 31, 2017 – Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract with the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) for the development and production of the next generation anti-ship missile system.
