October 11, 2019 – The Department of Homeland Security, in close coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard, granted extraordinary relief to the Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) for the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) under the authority of Public Law (P.L.) US Coast Guard exercises construction option for lead Offshore Patrol Cutter, long lead-time materials for second Offshore Patrol Cutter

September 28, 2018 – Today, the Coast Guard exercised contract options with Eastern Shipbuilding Group to begin construction of the lead offshore patrol cutter (OPC), Argus, and to acquire long lead-time materials for the second OPC, Chase.
