Dakota Creek Industries Inc., Anacortes, Washington, is awarded a $26,710,222 firm-fixed-price modification to previously-awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00024-18-C-2205 to exercise options for the detail design and construction (DD&C) of two yard tug 808-class harbor tugboats (YT 812 and YT 813) and accessory items to include 50-man inflatable buoyant apparatus and Navy Mk-7 life raft, as well as packaging and delivery to final destination. Four new US Navy tugs propelled by SCHOTTEL

November 1, 2018 – The US Navy has ordered four newly designed yard tugs from Washington-based Dakota Creek Industries. Each of the ASD tugs will be equipped with two SCHOTTEL Rudderpropellers. The azimuth thrusters are provided with the DNV-GL-certified LEACON sealing system as well as SCHOTTEL ProAnode integrated into a high-efficiency nozzle. Four New Z-Tech® 4500’s for the US Navy

October 19, 2018 – Robert Allan Ltd. has been awarded a contract to design a new version of the successful Z-Tech® 4500 tugs for the United States Navy (USN). The USN already has six vessels of this design, known as the YT 802 Class, in service. This first group were delivered between 2010-2012 and are in use in the Pacific Northwest and Japanese waters. This contract includes options inclusive of two additional craft which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $84,485,167.
