The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HST CSG) took another step in its pre-deployment work-up cycle by commencing the composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) Feb 1. Truman (CVN 75) successfully completed a two-day Force Protection Exercise (FPEX) while pier-side, Jan. 18. “Force protection is the only mission that Truman accomplishes 24 hours a day, seven days a week, no matter where we are in the world,” said Capt.
