November 15, 2018 – In a momentous day for Australia’s national shipbuilding endeavor, construction has commenced on the Navy’s new Offshore Patrol Vessels at Osborne in South Australia. 21 Pacific Patrol Boats to be built in WA

Australia will gift Timor-Leste two new patrol boats following the finalization of the shipbuilding arrangements. The new arrangements follow the agreement between Prime Minister Turnbull and Prime Minister Alkatiri in November 2017 for the provision of these two new boats to Timor-Leste.
