USS Essex concludes CARAT with Malaysia port visit

August 20, 2018 – USS Essex (LHD 2) and embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Aug. 19, for a port visit after participating in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2018. US & Thailand Conclude CARAT Thailand 2018

The 24th annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) exercise between the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, and Royal Thai Navy concluded in Pattaya, Thailand, June 21.
