First contract for Hunter Class Frigate

October 4, 2018 – In a major development for Australia’s new Hunter class frigate program, an interim contract has been struck between the Commonwealth and BAE Systems Australia. Minister for Defence, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, today announced Defence and BAE Systems Australia have entered into an Advanced Work Arrangement (AWA). Civmec Joins Forces with ASC for RAN OPV Proposal

March 20, 2017 – Australia-based Civmec Ltd, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Forgacs Marine and Defence Pty Ltd, today announced it has entered a Memorandum of Understanding with ASC Shipbuilding Pty Ltd to jointly bid for the build of 12 Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
