US, Lebanon Armed Forces Complete Resolute Response 18

U.S. and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) participated in exercise Resolute Response (RR) 18 at Jounieh Naval Base, Lebanon, June 25-July 6. RR18 is an annual bilateral engagement between the U.S. Navy and LAF with the focus of sharing and knowledge, insight and strategy in the fields of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), dive operations, civil military operations and visit, board, search and seizure. HMAS Newcastle completes operations with US Fifth Fleet

HMAS Newcastle has completed an attachment with the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in the Arabian Gulf while deployed on maritime security operations in the Middle East Region (MER). USS Bataan Enters U.S. 6th Fleet

USS Bataan (LHD 5), flagship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group (BATARG), and the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) entered U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations Sept. 3, after nearly six months of routine operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of a regularly scheduled deployment.
