TNI Main Base Batch III Jakarta welcomed the arrival of the Australian warships HMAS Adelaide (L01) and HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) led by the Commander of the Underwater Diving and Rescue Command (Dankoppeba) Koarmada I Rear Admiral TNI Ferdy Hendarto Susilo, ST, MT at JITC II Pier Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, Thursday (24/11/2022).

The arrival of the two Australian warships was part of the Indo-Pacific Endeavor (IPE) 2022 activity which was again held in Indonesia for the fourth time with the aim of strengthening the military partnership between Indonesia and Australia.

In accordance with international standards and by implementing procedures that apply to the Indonesian Navy, Lantamal III Jakarta as one of the Main Bases of the Indonesian Navy in Jakarta, is always ready to carry out the duties and functions of its base by carrying out security and preparing docks and mooring facilities for each ship. foreigners visiting Indonesia, especially in the work area of ​​Jakarta Lantamal III.

The Indonesian Navy under the leadership of Admiral TNI Yudo Margono is committed to being ready to cooperate in maintaining regional security and stability by increasing cooperation in the field of joint exercises, both bilateral and multilateral. This illustrates the importance of naval cooperation with friendly countries to maintain regional security stability and build international trust in the Indonesian Navy.

In carrying out the duties of welcoming, guarding and supervising as well as preparing the berths for foreign ships, Jakarta Lantamal III mobilized several elements involved including Pomal Lantamal III, Lantamal III Intel Team, Yonmarhanlan III, Satrol Lantamal III and Dissyahal Lantamal III and Satsik Lantamal III.

The two Australian warships are each HMAS Adelaide (L01) of the Canberra-class Landing Helicopter Dock type which has a maximum speed of Over 20 knots (37 km/h; 23 mph) with the commander of the ship Captain Troy Duggan. Meanwhile HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) Anzac Class Frigate type has a displacement of 3,600 tons with Commander McPherson as commander.

After the welcoming ceremony continued with the VVIP Ship Tour and the Defense Industry Exhibition at HMAS Adelaide.
