ARM Jalisco Commissioned

May 24, 2019 – The Secretary of the Navy – Armada de Mexico through the Fourth Naval Region, informs that today was held the Welcome Ceremony to the Ship Oceanic Surveillance Patrol ARM JALISCO PO-167.

Cited Surface Unit was built by Mexican labor, in the Shipyard of Marina Número Veinte with headquarters in the Port of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca. The process of construction began on August 9, 2016 with the keel setting, its launch date was May 14, 2018, and was held on November 23, 2018.

The ARM JALISCO PO-167 Ocean Surveillance Patrol Ship caused discharge in the Active Service of the Navy of Mexico and in the Sixth Fleet of Units of Low Surface The Command of the Fourth Naval Region, on May 1, 2018.

The Vessel ARM JALISCO PO-167 will have as mission to carry out patrol operations and maritime surveillance to maintain the rule of law at sea, search and rescue to safeguard human life at sea, as well as operations support to the civil population to guarantee the physical security of people in situations of disaster.
