December 19, 2018 – The crew of the newest small rocket ship Orekhovo-Zuyevo of the Black Sea Fleet began working out a special course task K-1, which is the initial stage of the basic preparation of the ship before going to sea to perform tasks for its intended purpose.
For the first time, the crew will take on the coursework task, in which the sailors will conduct various shipboard exercises: on preparing the ship for battle and march, the struggle for survivability while moored at the berth, air defense, will carry out measures for counter-sabotage defense of the ship in the basing station. In addition, the crew will work out the day-to-day organization of service, life and rest of the crew, standards for servicing weapons and ship mechanisms, preparing the ship for receiving ammunition.
The next stage of the crew training will be exits to the sea, where the personnel will have to improve the skills of performing marine elements and planned combat exercises with a single ship.
Earlier, on December 10, a solemn ceremony was held in Sevastopol to raise the flag of St. Andrew and to receive the newest small rocket ship Orekhovo-Zuyevo to the Black Sea Fleet
