WWI Armistice Centennial Commemoration

October 30, 2018 – A Concert of Remembrance including, among other works, Dona Nobis Pacem by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Jerusalem by Hubert Parry, and A Farewell to Arms and In Terra Pax by Gerald Finzi.

Presentation and retiring of the Colors by U.S. Army Color Guard, and Singing of the National Anthem by TCCW 140 voice chorus.

Post-concert remarks and Q&A with guest conductor Gretchen Kuhrmann, WWI historian Andrew Woods, and Director of British Counsel USA Leigh Gibson.

Vocals will be from the internationally acclaimed, The City Choir of Washington and Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director of Robert Shafer.
