August 7, 2018 – Today, a detachment of warships of the Northern Fleet, who participated in the Main Naval Parade, came from the North Sea into the English Channel.
As part of a detachment of warships – the missile cruiser “Marshal Ustinov” and a large anti-submarine ship “Severomorsk”.
The remaining ships and vessels – participants in the Main Naval Parade – continue the inter-Fleet transition to the points of permanent deployment.
On the eve of a detachment of warships of the Northern Fleet completed the passage of the Baltic Straits and went to the North Sea.
During the withdrawal from Severomorsk, which took place on July 5, the Northern Fleet’s warships overcame more than 4,000 nautical miles. They presented the Northern Fleet at the Main Naval Parade in the city of Kronstadt and took part in the interflot training in the Baltic Sea together with the ships of the Baltic and Black Sea fleets.
It is planned that in the near future the missile cruiser “Marshal Ustinov” and the large anti-submarine ship “Severomorsk” will continue to carry out the tasks of long-range march in the Atlantic seas. Crews of the Northern Fleet warships will continue shipboard exercises and exercises to fight for survivability, provide assistance to those in distress at sea, as well as to provide all types of protection and defense of the detachment of ships on the sea.
