Keel laying ceremony for small missile ship Vikhr Project 22800 to take place in Feodosia

Today, on December 19, keel laying ceremony is to take place for the small-sized missile ship Project 22800 Vikhr. It is the third small missile ship to be built at the More Shipyard in Feodosia for the Russian Navy.

The solemn ceremony is to be attended by representatives of Feodosia administration and leadership of the Shipyard. Deputy Chief of Navy Shipbuilding Department Captain 1st Rank Mikhail Krasnopeyev will take part in the ceremony on behalf of the Naval Main Command.

The ship Project 22800 was designed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The vessel’s displacement is 800 tons. It is equipped with high-precision missile and artillery systems, and advanced navigation equipment.
