Pacific Fleet warships sail off for long-distance trip

The Pacific Fleet warship group including LAW Admiral Vinogradov, Admiral Panteleyev and large sea tanker Boris Butoma under the direction of Deputy Commander of the Seaboard Combined Forces Flotilla Rear Admiral Eduard Mikhailov sailed off from Vladivostok for a long-distance trip.

In course of the trip, the crew is to conduct scheduled exercise as part of the surface combatant squadron.

During the trip, the ships will pay nine unofficial visits and business calls on foreign ports.

Its main aim is to demonstrate St Andrew’s Flag in the Pacific Rim and develop maritime cooperation with the Pacific Rim countries.
